Gorely (1829 m) located in 80 km straight south of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. For the elongated shape of the cone is sometimes called the Burnt Ridge. Gorely is a ridged array, elliptic, rising from the bottom of the caldera. Once it was thyroid foot volcano with a diameter of about 30 km. Each of the craters on the top of the volcano has its own characteristics, and together they create a unique ensemble. The most interesting of them:

Further east is the largest and most beautiful crater — «Blue Lake». Its irregularly shaped crater about half a kilometer in diameter, surrounded by steep walls height of 150-200 m. The bottom of the lake occupied by blue, partially landfast ice and floating ice.
Crater «Chasha» is a very low top right of the cone and is surrounded by a narrow annular ridge. The diameter of the crater about 200 m inner walls of the crater are steep. EXCURSION PROGRAM
8:00 Departure for the car shifts at a volcanic plateau near the volcano, burning, 110 km (3 hours). Car of the route runs south through Paratunskiye area and further up the valley of the river Paratunka. Climbing up the steep serpentine road in km altitude, the road comes to pass, which offers a magnificent view over the valley of the river Paratunka, volcanoes Vilyuchinsky, Mutnovsky, Goreliy. In the distance are seen the top of the Avachinsky and Koryakskiy volcanoes. The road goes south through the volcanic plateau.
11:00 Tea with sandwiches. Preparation for the ascent.
