Avachinsky volcano (2741 m) located in 30 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. It is a «double» volcano. Its peculiar structure due to the fact that modern operating cone formed in the more ancient and heavily damaged the crater, called the somme. Eccentrically located a young cone rises above the edge of the somme at 400-1000 m. It is crowned by the crater having a diameter of about 350 m.
In the crater of a volcano Avachinsky that before filling in 1991 was a bowl diameter of 400 m and a depth of 200 m, is always observed intense fumarolic activity. The eruption in 1991 the crater was sealed «lava tube» After that, fumaroles concentrated mainly on track «lava tube» with an edge of a volcano.

Conditions: Delivery of all-terrain vehicle. Accommodation in cabins turpriyuta (4-6 occupancy, overnight in sleeping bags). Day 1
17:00. Departure for a car under a rotational Avachinsky volcano in the area of the volcanic plateau between Avachinsky and Koryakskiy volcanoes, located at an altitude of 900 m above sea level, 50 km (2,5 hours). Accommodation in lodges. Dinner. Overnight in sleeping bags for 4-6 people. in the room. At the request you can be accommodated in tents.
Day 2
07:00 Breakfast
8:00 — departure on the ascent. The trail follows the slag fields, crossing a deep crevasse dry river and enters the volcanic ridge. Climbing takes place on the western slope of the volcano and ridged crest of an ancient stratovolcano. Remnants of an ancient volcano «collar» envelop the young cone. At an altitude of 2000 meters arranged snack (dry rations), and then the tourists are beginning to rise on a young volcanic cone to the top. The steepness of the slope in the apical part reaches 30 °. At the top — a snack, visit the crater. Return to the camp is in the same way. The length of the ascent — 8 km. Duration of lifting 6-8 hours, the descent takes 3-4 hours. Dinner.
